The saga of the acquisition of paid leave during a work stoppage, reactivated by the rulings handed down by the Cour de Cassation on September 13, 2023, has come to an end with the publication of Law no. 2024-364 of April 22, 2024, known as DDADUE: Loi portant diverses dispositions d’adaptation au droit de l’Union européenne.
The comparative table below summarizes the main changes introduced by this text, which comes into force on April 24, 2024, with retroactive application of certain provisions from December 1, 2009.
Some ambiguities remain: further clarifications, which will no doubt be provided by the French administration in the near future, will be incorporated as they become available.
