The saga of paid leave entitlement during sick leave, reignited by the rulings handed down by the Court of Cassation on September 13, 2023, has come to an end with the publication of Law No. 2024-364 of April 22, 2024, known as DDADUE: Law containing various provisions adapting to European Union law.
The comparative table below summarizes the main changes introduced by this text, which comes into force on April 24, 2024. Certain provisions are retroactively applicable from December 1, 2009.
However, some ambiguities remain. Additional details, which will undoubtedly be communicated by the administration in the near future, will be incorporated as they become available.
