Now codified in Articles L.174-1 and R.174-22 to R.174-32 of the Construction and Housing Code, Decree no. 2019-771 of 23 July 2019, known as the Tertiary Decree, resulting from the Elan Law, imposes an ambitious and gradual reduction in energy consumption in tertiary buildings in order to combat climate change, by 2030, 2040 and 2050 (targets by threshold).
The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) has announced that the deadline for the first reporting of data, initially scheduled for 30 September 2021, has been postponed by one year to 30 September 2022.
In addition, new buildings, previously excluded from the process, have now been included.
